Kaminoya Daijingu Torii

This large white torii guards the entrance to the Kaminoya Daijingu, also known as the Grande Templo do Brasil. Founded in São Paulo by Mestra Tachibana (born Suzuko Morishita), the sanctuary moved to Arujá — chosen in 1966 for its excellent climate — where its temple was completed in 1967 with the traditional layout of a Shinto shrine, including a temizuya, haiden, and auxiliary shrines. Festivals are held throughout the year, from the Ōmatsuri in April to the year-crossing Toshikoshi-matsuri in December.
