This torii, built by Richard Hogan, stands along the Kenai Peninsula Peace Crane Garden Trails. The garden's story began with the gift of a seed from a tree that survived the bombing of Hiroshima, and it centers on a six-foot bronze crane designed by Alaskan artist Christina Demetro and made with local schoolchildren and community members as part of a project to promote peace and understanding.
