Several torii stand by the Guam Chinkon "Sea of Souls" Shrine — one next to the shrine itself, and a row of three to the north. The shrine is part of a war memorial on the grounds of the Guam Governor's Office, overlooking the Asan Beach shoreline.
The shrine was constructed in 2017 and dedicated as part of the annual Japanese Annual Peace Ceremony commemorating those who died in World War II. The shrine was rededicated in 2023.
